Coconut Cloud

A collection of conceptual body butters that offer different coconut scent pairings to fit your skin type.

Overview

This is an on-going project where I create brands off of one word prompts from Katrina Romulo’s brandtober challenge. Prompt #2: coconut.

I decided to think about how these brands could be conceptualized to showcase mini user flows via platforms such as an app, a website, etc. to continue building on my design skills.

Inspiration moodboard

1. Soft textures

I wanted to incorporate clouds, soft, and airy textures that could be featured and associated with the product and brand overall.

2. Light colours

I wanted to use colours that would be light and offer scents that would be refreshing, tropical, and evoke feelings of calmness and relaxation.

3. Container

I wanted the design to look clean and simple that I could reproduce using the pen tool. I also wanted to incorporate this jar texture for the body of the container.

Logo design

I created a minimal design that would blend both parts of the company name: a coconut and a cloud inside the coconut. I wanted the user to feel assured that the body butter would be soft, light, wispy, and not feel too heavy on the skin when applying (similar to typical concepts of a cloud).

Container design

I wanted each container to offer benefits for different skin types. I used a simple font with a minimal label and added illustrations and associated colours for users to visually identify each scent pairing.

1. Body butter match for user’s skin care needs

Users can take a quick quiz to reveal the best body butter that fits their skin care needs.

A simple website design to showcase the product creating 2 user flows:

2. Shopping/Add to bag

Users can find more information about each body butter (description, ingredients, reviews) and add to their bag.
